William L. Ciavarelli

William L. Ciavarelli, is the son of the founder Emil J. and Ethel Ciavarelli. Bill was raised in the Conshohocken area and serves as Supervisor of the Ambler Funeral Home. He is also the proud father of four children and 5 grandchildren. After graduating from St. Matthew’s High School in 1964, Bill entered the military and served his country during the Vietnam War in the US Army with the 196th Light Infantry Brigade, 175th Combat Engineer Co.  After being honorably discharged from the service, Bill graduated from the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in New York, NY, specializing in derma surgery. He also attended the University of Pittsburgh School Of Medicine in completing courses in sterile eye enucleation with Dept. of Ophthalmology and Anatomy of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, and working closely with Wills Eye Hospital of Philadelphia. Upon completion of his funeral training in 1972, he entered the family business and worked as a Director with his father.  That same year he married his true love, Frances (Buttacavoli) Ciavarelli.  Bill has volunteered his time with many different organization’s and charities. He was a member of the former Conshohocken Lions Club and served as Secretary for 25 years. He is a member of the Ambler Kiwanis Club, the Sons of Italy Lodge in Ambler, the Conshohocken VFW Post 1074, CBC Club of Conshohocken, Andrew Lannutti Veterans Post in Conshohocken, as well as the American Legion in Ambler. Bill is a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus, the National Notary Association, as well as a member of the National, Pennsylvania, and Montgomery County Funeral Directors Associations. He is an active member of the St. Anthony of Padua Church, where he serves as an usher, and a member of the SS. Cosmas and Damian Fraternal Society in Conshohocken.

Bill enjoys fishing and boating on Barnegat Bay, traveling, talking politics, studying American History, fixing anything that’s needs it, and spending time with his family and social gatherings with friends.  Bill’s over forty years of experience and commitment to service has been a valuable asset in providing the most professional, compassionate and caring services to all those in need.

Christopher J. Ciavarelli

Christopher J. Ciavarelli, son of William L. and Frances Ciavarelli, is a 3rd generation funeral director. Chris resides at the Conshohocken funeral home with his wife Tonya (Sweeney) Ciavarelli and their 5 children. He is a graduate of LaSalle College High School class of 1994, and attended LaSalle University as Biology major in the Pre-Med curriculum.  He then decided to enter the family business and achieved his Degree in Funeral Service from American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in New York, NY with Cum Laude honors in 1998. Chris is a PA licensed life insurance agent which enables him to provide advantageous funeral preplanning funding options.  He is a member of St. Matthew Church in Conshohocken where he serves as a Lector.  Chris is a 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus, the Optimist Club International, a Charter Member and President of the Kiwanis Club of Conshohocken, and a former member of BNI Plymouth Meeting Chapter.  He also volunteers and sponsors for numerous community activities and organizations.  He is also a member of several Funeral Directors Associations, and a CANA Certified Crematory Operator.  These days, Chris enjoys following his kids’ activities, and spending time at the shore with his family.

William E. Ciavarelli

William E. Ciavarelli, son of William L. and Frances Ciavarelli, is a 3rd generation funeral director. He is a graduate of Lansdale Catholic High School class of 2001, and attended Montgomery County Community College.  After many years of working alongside his father and brother, he decided to join the family business and graduated from Northampton Community College in 2007 with a Degree in Funeral Service. During his high school and college years, Bill worked both at the funeral home and at The Phil’s Tavern in Broad Axe, PA. He is a former volunteer firefighter with the Fort Washington Fire Co. #1, a volunteer with Ambler Main Street, a member of the National, Pennsylvania and Montgomery County Funeral Director Associations, and CANA Certified Crematory Operator. He is also a PA licensed Life Insurance Agent which allows him to provide many different preplanning options. Bill is honored to carry the tradition of his family business and loves serving and guiding the people in his community through their difficult time. He enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.

Andrea M. Ciavarelli

Andrea M. Ciavarelli Scotti, the daughter of William L. and Frances A. Ciavarelli, is a 3rd generation Funeral Director. She was raised in Ambler, and resides in Conshohocken with her husband William J. Scotti. She is a graduate of Upper Dublin High School class of 2005. While attending Upper Dublin High School, she participated in extracurricular school activities, as well as Cosmetology School. Andrea has over 12 years experience working in a local salon and has been a licensed Cosmetologist for over 11 years. During her senior year of high school in 2005, Andrea made the decision to join the family business with her father and two brothers. She is a graduate of Northampton Community College with a degree in Applied Science in Funeral Service. While attending Northampton, Andrea received 1st place in her Restorative Art Class for extensive facial reconstruction. Andrea brings a female perspective, sensitivity, and compassion to all families during their time of loss. Andrea is proud to follow in the footsteps of her late grandfather Emil J., her father William L., and her brothers Christopher and William E., in providing professionalism and excellence in funeral service to the community, with a caring touch.  She is a member of Saint Helena Church of Blue Bell, PA, and volunteers for numerous community events.  In her spare time, Andrea enjoys fitness, traveling, spending time at the NJ shore, gardening, and playing bocce at Holy Saviour Bocce Club.

Frances A. (Buttacavoli) Ciavarelli

Frances A. (Buttacavoli) Ciavarelli has lived most of her life in Ambler, PA. Fran is the proud mother of four children and five grandchildren. Fran graduated from Archbishop Kennedy High School in 1967, and completed an Associate Degree in Business from Montgomery County Community College. She has worked in management positions for several companies in the Montgomery County area. Fran also worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for Regina Nursing Center in Norristown, PA and the Artman Lutheran Home in Amber, PA. She volunteered as a dispatcher for the Ambler Community Ambulance Association for 15 years, where she earned the honor of life time member. Fran joined the family business along with her husband and father-in-law when the Ambler facility opened in 1979. Along with providing her management skills to the family business, she has provided much support and guidance to Chris, Billy and Andrea as they pursued their educations to become licensed funeral directors. Fran is an active member of St. Anthony of Padua Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister and as a member of the Capital Campaign Committee. She has also served as the president of the church’s Lady Auxiliary and was on the board of the former Ambler Catholic Home and School Association. Fran has also been a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veteran’s of Foreign War in Ambler, Ambler Kiwanis Club, Son’s of Italy Lodge in Ambler along with the Mercy Suburban Ladies Auxiliary, Conshohocken Lions Club, CBC Club, and the Andrew Lannutti Post Conshohocken. She is also involved with SAGA of Ambler, delivering Meals on Wheels to senior citizens. Fran enjoys many hobbies which include gardening, cooking traditional family dinners, baking, and entertaining family and friends.  She enjoys spending vacations on the beaches of New Jersey and is very involved in the many activities that her grandchildren enjoy. Fran still continues to add her expertise in the business office to this day.
