Obituary for Daniel Robert Markgraf

Daniel Robert Markgraf, 64, of Thorndale, PA, formerly of Ambler, PA, passed away on January 5, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Jeanette (Tyson) Markgraf for 35 years. Dan was born in Philadelphia, PA on February 18, 1953 to the late Robert W. and Alice Elizabeth (Laverty) Markgraf. He worked in the Insurance Industry for over 35 years. During his younger years, Dan was involved with the Jaycees and worked with the Episcopal youth in the Glenside and Philadelphia area. He loved cooking and spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Along with his wife, he is survived by his four children: Brandon (Lisa), Evan (Brianna), Doug (Courtney), Zachary (Bonnie) Markgraf; three grandchildren: Braydon Spina, Liam Markgraf and Elijah Markgraf; two sisters: Gail Labanara, Nancy Hassell; a brother: Steven Markgraf; an Aunt Dolores Laverty. Relatives and friends are invited to his Celebration of Life on Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 12 PM to 4 PM at Billy Murphy’s Irish Saloon, 3335 Conrad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19129. Interment will be private. Memorial donations in Dan’s name may be made to the Head and Neck Cancer Alliance, PO Box 21688, Charleston, SC 29413.
