Obituary for Eugene Benjamin Young

Eugene Benjamin Young, of Schwenksville, PA went home to be in the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, August 4, 2019. He was 81. He was the loving husband of Christine (Reale) Young. Eugene was born in Glenside, PA on February 7, 1938 to the late Ralph W. and Elsie (Fesmire) Young. He was a US Army veteran with the rank of Private First Class. In the army he was a tank commander while stationed in Germany. After leaving the service he was an engineer for many years traveling across the country working on various nuclear power plants and water pressure vessel systems. Eventually settling down in Pennsylvania, he worked for Reed Technology and Information Service located in Horsham PA. He performed various quality assurance duties for the publication of patents for the United States Patent and Trademark Office, retiring in 2003. Eugene loved nature and the outdoors including fishing, hunting, camping, and the ocean. His other hobbies and interests included golfing and traveling. He was deeply devoted to his faith and to his family. Along with his wife Christine, he is survived by his children Cristen N. Queenan (Philip), E. Craig Young (April), Jaime E. Robbins (Jonathan), his granddaughters Alexandria K. Housenick and Grace E. Young, his twin brother Robert W. Young and sister Marguerite “Peggy” Buck (Paul). He was pre-deceased by his siblings Walter Young and Dorothy Whitaker. Funeral Services will be Private.
