Obituary for Donald Stockdale Stacey

Donald Stockdale Stacey, 85, of East Norriton, PA, died on April 26, 2019 with his wife by his side. He was the beloved husband of 61 years to Marilyn L. (Steeves) Stacey. He was born in Oneonta, NY on May 26, 1933 to the late Donald S. Stacey, Sr. and Gwenlyn B. (Wolcott) Stacey. Donald was a graduate of Pace College and UConn. He served our country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict from 1952-56. He achieved rank of Airman 1st class and served with the SQ105 HQ 41st ADiv. He received the Korean Service Medal, UN Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Donald was employed by IBM in the Personnel Dept. In his spare time, he enjoyed genealogy, pet therapy, rose gardening, feeding birds, hiking, camping and canoeing. He was also a member of the SPEBSQSA (Barbershop Quartet Society). In addition to his wife Marilyn, he is survived by two daughters Lorinda McDonald & Mark of Lake Luzerne, NY, Susan Stacey of East Norriton, PA, 2 grandchildren Anne Cohen & Taylor of New York, NY, Kyle Jackier of East Norriton, PA, and a brother Richard J. Stacey of Massachusetts. He was pre-deceased by an infant son, and a sister Cheryl Copin. Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at Brightview Senior Living, 300 E. Germantown Pike, East Norriton, PA. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Donald’s name can be sent to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
