Obituary for Russell E. Smith

Russell E. Smith, 86, of East Norriton, died on May 7, 2018 at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery. He was the beloved husband of Rosalie L. (Spera) Smith; they would have been married 54 years on May 9th. He was born in Norristown on March 23, 1932 to the late Russell and Rachel (Jones) Smith. Russell was a graduate of Norristown High School class of 1950. He served our country in the US Air Force. He was the owner and operator of Feaser’s, Inc. of Norristown, an appliance and home fixtures store, where he worked for over 30 years until his retirement. Russell was a member of St. Paul Church in Norristown, was an avid small aircraft pilot, and enjoyed working on cars doing auto body work. In addition to his wife Rosalie, he is survived by a daughter Lucille Downie and husband Kenneth of Plymouth Meeting, 6 grandchildren Kenny, Brian, Jessica, Christopher, Trisha, and Julia, a brother Joseph Smith and wife Louise of Collegeville, and many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a sister Dolores Carter. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Church, 2007 New Hope St., Norristown, PA. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at church. Entombment in St. Patrick Mausoleum. Arrangements by the Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Conshohocken and Ambler.
