Obituary for Philomena LaBella

Philomena LaBella, 77, of Eagleville, died on October 17, 2017 at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery. She was the beloved wife of Benedetto LaBella for 57 years. She was born in Civitello Messer Raimondo, Italy on March 5, 1940 to the late Orlando and Assunta “Sue” (D’Amico) Piccone. Philomena was a graduate of Haverford High School. She worked as a Seamstress and later was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Visitation BVM Church in Trooper. She enjoyed doing crafts, gardening, was a cat and bird lover, and enjoyed spending time with her family in Wildwood, NJ. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons Gus LaBella and wife Sue of Collegeville, Lou LaBella and wife Crista of Doylestown, 3 grandchildren Ryan, Alixandra, and Zachary, 1 great-grandson Jacob, and 2 brothers Ron Piccone of Malvern, Joseph Piccone of Thorndale. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Service on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 516 Fayette St., Conshohocken. The Viewing will be from 10-11 a.m. Entombment St. Patrick Mausoleum, Norristown. Since Philomena had an affection for animals, memorial donations in her name may be made to the Montgomery County SPCA, 19 Ridge Pike, Conshohocken, PA 19428.
