Obituary for Patricia R. Lamprecht

Patricia Mary Lamprecht (nee Rowe) of Blue Bell, age 74, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2018 surrounded by her family at Normandy Farms Estates.

A native of Boston, she was born on November 13, 1943 to Paul E. and Agnes T. (nee Flavin) Rowe. At the age of nine, she moved with her family to Drexel Hill where she attended St. Doro-thy’s School. The second oldest of five children, she was an accomplished swimmer and com-peted under Coach Mary Kelly at the Vesper Boat Club, one of the first all-women swim teams in the US. She graduated from Archbishop Prendergast High School in 1961 and Rosemont College in 1965 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Upon graduation, she worked at the College for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a social worker for disadvantaged youth in South Philadelphia.

She met her husband of 48 years, Frank J. Lamprecht in Avalon, NJ in 1968 and was married on March 8, 1969. She was extremely devoted to her family and felt the best years of her life were spent with Frank raising their four children. She was an active member and volunteer at St. Helena Parish and School where her four children attended. In 1989, she returned to work in the account management group at IMS Health, an information and technology services firm serving the healthcare industry, where she spent 16 years before retiring.

She is survived by her loving husband, Frank J. Lamprecht, her four children Kathleen L. (Ken-neth) Prue, Christine L. (Reed) Wilmerding, Jennifer L. (Daniel) Rosenak and Thomas F. (Kath-erine) Lamprecht, her eight grandchildren, Megan, Allison, Sean, Luke, Henry, Sophie, Charles and Theodore, her siblings Paul Rowe, John “Jack” (Denise) Rowe, Thomas (Marguerite) Rowe, and Kathleen “Missy” Rowe (Mark), as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13 from 10:00 -11:30 am at St. Helena Church, 1489 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell, PA. Funeral Mass at 11:30 am. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association ( in her name.
