Obituary for Mary A. Lopez

Mary A. Lopez, 75, of Narberth, formerly of Conshohocken and Churchville, died on January 10, 2018. She was the beloved wife of Francis Lopez for nearly 48 years. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on December 27, 1942 to the late Joseph and Delia (Missett) Rodgers. Mary was a graduate of Hallahan Catholic Girls’ High School class of 1960, where she was named a Blue Ribbon Girl. She was formerly employed by Mobil Oil as a building supervisor and later was a CFO for Lakeside Trucking until her retirement. She was a member of St. Matthew Church in Conshohocken, formerly St. Vincent de Paul CYO and Women’s Club in supporting her children’s sports and activities, even throughout their college years. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, entertaining family and friends, decorating her home, especially around the holidays, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was known for always being well dressed whenever she left her home. In addition to her husband Francis, she is survived by her son Joseph T. Lopez and wife Mara of Narberth, 2 grandchildren Alexa Marie and Jackson, and was predeceased by her sister Josephine Rodgers Griffin. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthew Church, 219 Fayette St., Conshohocken. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment will be private. Family requests memorial donations in Mary’s name to the Melanoma Research at PENN Medicine /Abramson Cancer Center, PENN Medicine Development, 3535 Market Street, Suite 750, Philadelphia PA 19104.
