Obituary for Diane B. Affatato

Diane B. Affatato, 59, of Plymouth Meeting, passed away on June 4, 2018 in the comfort of her home surrounded by family and friends. She was the beloved wife of 34 years to Joseph J. Affatato. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 2, 1958 to the late Vito and Rose (Mercurio) Bucci. Diane was a graduate of John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls’ High School class of 1976. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church for over 20 years, acting as Home and School President. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Academy, the school her daughters attended, where she worked for 7 years. She is a current member of St. Helena Church in Blue Bell. She was a loving and devoted homemaker, wife and mother. In addition to her husband, Joseph, she is survived by her two daughters Rosemary Nicole Affatato and Stephanie Christine Affatato both of Plymouth Meeting, two brothers William D. Bucci of Philadelphia and Anthony Bucci of Flourtown. All relatives and friends are invited to her Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at St. Helena Church, 1489 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell, PA. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. at the Church, followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:30 p.m. A special Luncheon in her honor will immediately follow the Mass in the Empress Room on the Church grounds. Interment will be private at a later date. Memorial donations in Diane’s memory can be made to the Still Strong Foundation at stillstrongfoundation.org, Holy Spirit Adoration Sisters Convent of Divine Love at adorationsisters.org, and Marialuisa Lectureship for Life at houstonmethodist.org.
