Obituary for Allison Monique Hall

Alison Monique Hall was born in Abington Hospital on October 2, 1976 to the late Robin M. Hall and Lawrence Hall. On Monday, December 18, 2017 our Heavenly Father called Alison home to rest in His eternal house.

Alison was educated in the Wissahickon School District and during her younger years, she participated in playing field hockey, basketball and baseball. She graduated from Wissahickon Senior High in 1994 and went on to further her education at Cedar Crest College in Allentown, Pa.

Alison was employed with KenCrest for over 20 years and held various positions with the latter being a program manager which she supervised the staff and performed administrative duties. Alison assisted in helping intellectual disabled people, live productive lives. The kids under her guidance adored her.

When you were in Alison’s company, you had to notice her “signature” smile and distinctive laugh. She was very funny and always made her friends’ laugh, laugh, laugh!

She loved dogs and had two guinea pigs that she took care of until they passed away. Her friends would call her the “dog whisper”.

Alison loved to cook, feast on African cuisine, listen to music, and she loved to dance, even if she had to dance by herself!

Alison was a fiercely independent woman. She did things “her way”.

Her niece and nephew called her “Auntie” and friends and family would call her “Oop”.

Cherishing her memory with love are: A devoted sister, Anitra Hall of Ambler: stepbrother, Lawrence Nash of Lansdale; four uncles, Edward M. Curtis (Susan) of Ambler; Charles W. Curtis of Norristown; Ronald G. Curtis (Bonnie) of Horsham; Jon O. Curtis (Scarlett) of Ambler; an aunt, Ann Hall of North Hills; one nephew, Delmar Taliaferro Jr.; one niece Eternity Taliaferro; a great-aunt, Emma Weldon; godmother, Sharon Weldon-Jackson; a godson, Amir Hudson and a host of cousins and many friends.

Thank you Tamara Hudson, Keena Carter, Scarlett Woodland and Herbert Gordon and the Highland Avenue Family for your loyal friendship and love.
